Message from the 2012 Section 8 Chief:

Brothers,

Its hard to believe its been four months since our last meeting. I hope everyone has had a good summer and had fun. I was sent a story awhile back that i would like to share with you today.

"The most inspiring moment of my term occurred while I served on an Eagle Scout Board of Review at El Rancho Cima Scout Camp in June. The Scout was asked, "Which of the three duties in the Scout Oath is most important to you - Duty to God, Duty to country or Duty to self?" His answer shocked us all. "Duty to self," he said. But he wasn't done. He went on to say that he felt that it was necessary to improve himself - to become the best person that he could be - so that he could fully serve others. This Scout is the epitome of a servant leader. I will never forget that moment." This story truly shows us that what we show and exemplify in the order of the arrow truly does shine. and so i challenged you be one who serves his fellow man.

Yours in the Brotherhood of Cheerful Service

Kevin Woolsey
